The purpose of Sigma Lambda Gamma at the University of California, Santa Barbara is to empower and unite women from all walks of life. To establish a network that will enhance our knowledge and expand our boundaries. To demonstrate that we are capable of the strengths we possess mentally and physically. To create an atmosphere where women of all backgrounds can express themselves. By upholding academics, community service, cultural awareness, social interaction, and moral ethics we hope to create a place of tolerance and respect for all.
